Cannot remove items from Music Library

New user here. Just set up my Plex server on Ubuntu and it is working well. I have added a number of my own albums and have indexed them the way I want to see them, but after stepping away for a bit while transferring additional files to the media directory, I found additional music had been added to my music directory that I do not own nor did I add. I reviewed the server settings and found the setting " Advertise as player-Allow other Plex apps to fling content to this device and control it remotely."

I suspect this is the cause of the additional music added to my library, but I want to remove the albums/artists/songs but get an error when I try to remove them. Being new to Plex I thought I was doing something incorrectly, but don’t seem to see any other method of removal. I have tried the Optimize database and clean bundles options, but no luck. Suggestions?

This setting is for the integrated client software. It has nothing to do with your server and your music library.

Each item in a Plex library has a context menu. (Under a vertical ellipsis)
Where you can see to which file on disc the item is connected. This should make it clear if this is perhaps a “mismatch” or if you inadvertently included more parts of your hard disc into the library than intended.

(With music, the ellipsis is showing up if you mouse-over the track title, right at the end of the line.)

Please post a screenshot of the rogue music. Complete screen please.
