Removing a label that contains an emoji (“ Christmas” in my case) causes it to not be removed and no error shows up in the console. No SQL error shows up in logs either. This issue prevents the removal of any item from collections that have the emoji. The item is now permanently in the collection even if not intended to be.
Steps to Reproduce:
Add a label with the santa claus emoji
2.Try removing it thereafter
Expected Behavior:
Should be removed and the item should no longer show in the collection
Actual Behavior:
Label remains when you go back to check labels and the item still is in the collection
Additional Information:
Previously this issue was said to be “fixed” in an earlier build, but that is clearly not the case. Also, previously, users reported it showing a SQL Error in the log/console, but that is no longer the case, at least in my testing no errors show up there???
It was noted as fixed in 1.41.0.8992 (Tags) Tags with unicode characters could not be deleted (PM-2031)
But, it is not fixed in the latest build.
Also, with the thread you linked where it is a known issue, I unfortunately only found it after I made this post, but still that thread had not had any replies for nearly 2 months and thread autoclose at the 3 monthmark so I recently replied to that thread as well to keep it alive.
Thanks so much for the explanation man. I am new to the plex forums as you can probably tell, but I appreciate your patience with me. I hope the engineering team can fix this soon as, from my technical understanding of these things, it should be a relatively straightforward fix so I’m confused why it’s been months.
