Cannot share newly-created library

I always seem to walk backwards - and usually on the simplest of things. But, since I have your attention, and I don’t want to start yet a third thread today… Is there a quick fix for playing on tablets that don’t support direct audio? The app looks so different than what I grew up on, I don’t see a way to make a change.

I did find the supported audio and all are unsupported except for ac3 - which is unchecked. The stats displayed while playing show direct audio.

If this is inappropriate to ask an unrelated question in this thread, I’ll be happy to start a new one.

First, it helps to know which tablet and which app(s)

I have iOS here. I don’t have android so can’t help with those app settings.

Tablet OS aside, you should be able to restrict the audio in its settings. This will force PMS to transcode audio to the specific restricted setting.

Does this answer the question / goal?

Don’t ya just hate when people say “this is broke” and then don’t tell you what “this” is? Sorry. Yes, generic android 6.0 tablets. No biggie. I’ll work with what you’ve hinted, and if I can’t find a way to get it transcode the audio (it’s currently set to direct), I’ll start a new thread… Thanks again.
