Over a year ago, I created this same topic, but there has been no fix for this to date. This is unacceptable for paying customers. When viewing Live TV on my Nvidia Shield or Mi-Box, there is no way to turn off closed captions. Every channel displays closed captions while viewing.
The last response I received from the Plex team over a year ago was an acknowledgement of the issue, but no time frame for a fix. So is it safe to assume that this problem is never going to get fixed and paying customers should just go away?
I have rebuilt my server twice over the past year, which did not resolve the issue. I have searched the web for months looking for something, but it’s a no go. I also run Emby on the same server and this problem does not exist with Emby’s Live TV.
Please give an update regarding this issue and just be up front if you have no plans to fix this mess.
