Closed captioning being displayed when playback settings set to off

closed captioning suddenly became turned on for Live TV and and DVR’d content yesterday for no reason that I can find. the playback setting is set to off in settings at the start of playing content and the only way to turn off is to select captioning and then back to off. I have not used live tv for awhile (maybe a month) but use DVR daily. I tried unistalling plex server and reinstalling but had not change. any help would be appreciated.

deleted then reinstalled plex app on apple tv seams to have fixed my problem.
