So I set it all up after seeing an article on how to run Plex on an ATV3 and every thing runs smooth except for one thing... I cannot view any of my material. It just sits there saying "Accessing Trailers" and after about 10 minutes it craps out and says "Trailers is unavailable. Try again later". I can view my library and all the rest of the jazz just not view actual movies. I know it isn't my laptop because I can stream movies to my iPad without a problem. It is frustrating to say the least... Below is a screenshot of what my terminal does when trying to stream a movie. Maybe a brighter mind could solve my problem?... Please?

 

  • ATV3
  • iOS 5.2.1
  • DNS server set on the ATV: 10.0.0.8
  • Device & OS with PlexConnect: Fujitsu LifeBook A series w/ Windows 8 Pro
  • Local IP address of the device that PlexConnect is installed on: 10.0.0.8
  • Device and OS with PMS: Fujitsu LifeBook A series w/ Windows 8 Pro
  • Local IP address of the device that the Plex media server: 10.0.0.8
  • Media is on internal drive
  • PlexConnect version: GitHub source, folder created on Thursday, ‎30 ‎May ‎2013, ‏‎7:13:03 PM AEST

The last two lines -

"Not Serving Client 127.0.0.1" means that someone on your host computer (the one running PlexConnect) is requesting data from itself. For whatever reason...

"/widget/rainmeter/weather" indicates the someone is actually some sort of weather widget. I have to ask myself, HOW it is meant to get information from itself :-)

-> The http header connected to this request does not contain an identifier of the sending host. This is the root cause for PlexConnect to fail.

For now, try to shut down the widgets and you should be fine - please report back. I will try to first check the http header or content before testing "host".

Thank you for your reply... I will try again with all my rainmeter widgets shut down as soon as the little one gets off of his Xbox and then I will report back :D

Nope, still no good I am afraid. Same result on the tv but slightly different result in the command prompt window.
 
What is the 192.168.221.1:32400? It isn't my public IP. Or any other IP associated with my network.

Edit: I discovered the above IP address belongs to one of my vmnet adapters, deleted it and will try again once the missus lets me have the tv lol

Edit 2: After deleting those vmnet adapters it now works perfectly, thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
