Cant access local media

What a load of crap. This particular issue has been happening for too damn long. Every time Plex responds, it’s some half-assed answer that winds itself around to “deal with it.” Plex can’t even give a straight answer as to how it can be resolved. Someone will tell us it’s handled automatically and that our network isn’t configured properly (complete lie). Another will tell us to disable local authentication, which for most of us it seems doesn’t do a damn thing either. WE shouldn’t all be working together to fix it. Plex is paid by users and platforms to fix these issues themselves. Those of us paying for a Pass aren’t paying to be multi-year beta testers.

If you think this is just a “glitch” then you are sadly mistaken. Why not take a look at the forums. And Reddit.

Plex is a buggy mess. And they have the cheek to bring out new “features” without fixing the basic core that is the paid for service.

The delusion is strong in you. Seek help now.

Plex should continue to work. If not, then there is a bug or you have a scenario that we haven’t accounted for. Without more details to know why it failed for you, there’s no way it can get fixed.

Did you check the secured connection option I mentioned before? It could be as simple as you didn’t have that option enabled.
