Can't Access Plex At All For Last week

Looking for some help. All of a sudden I can’t access any of my media on my plex account. Can’t seem to connect to server and when I access plex on server, it opens a new tab and nothing happens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Is your CPU usage on the server high? As in 100%? If so then you ran into the same thing I did (maybe) with the music scanner hanging the whole deal.
Had to cancel the process, delete the program, roll back to 1.17, delete the audio libraries, upgrade to 1.18.whatever, and then follow the instructions here to recreate the audio libraries again.

No…CPU usage is staying under 20%…

please detail “Can’t access”?

  1. Not found?
  2. No Soup for you?
  3. Something else?

Hello,

I login to Synology, click on Plex icon, it opens a new tab like the screenshot shows, and after 30 seconds the web browser says “The Site can’t be reached”. Also can’t access plex on Apple TV as it says server is “currently unavailable.” However, I am able to do whatever else on the server not related to Plex

That’s an indication the server isn’t signed into your account.

The web browser, even though it loads from the server, isn’t bound to it.
It actually looks for the server from Plex.tv. If Plex.tv doesn’t know where it is, that’s when you get the ‘not found / can’t be reached’.

Try Signing out of Plex/web (upper right corner)
open an incognito tab.
now open http://ip.addr.of.syno:32400/web?secure=0 (force it to relax a moment)
if it’s otherwise OK, it should let you sign in and reattach it simiultanously.

CheckPA I appreciate you trying to help me!! I plex.tv open in a browser window and I logged out. I then opened chrome and opened an incognito tab and pasted in the link you gave me. Still have the “site can not be reached” after 20 seconds or so

No no. use the actual numerical IP address of the Synology on your LAN.

It will be that 192.168.x.x , or 10.x.x.x, or 172.16.x.x - 172.31.x.x number

No names here. Numbers only.

When in doubt what it is, Go to the DSM control Panel, -> Network ->

Look at the IP Address assigned to the adapter which is plugged in and active.

Well that wasn’t smart on my part sorry. I’m a total newb on this stuff.

I put this in: http://192.168.7.1:32400/web?secure=0 to the incognito browser and it still didn’t work

Is that the synology or the modem / router?

Most modem/routers use the .1 address.

It will be something like this but not be a “169.254.x.x” address.

Another mistake on my part… Here is my screenshot of my system

So I tried with the correct info (I think) and still got nothing

Oops…here is the correct IP address which I used

That’s it!

http://192.168.7.211:32400/web?secure=0

you can click on that link directly. I wrote it for your LAN.

Hi, So I pasted that linked into the incognito tab and it still didn’t work

Go to Package Center -> Installed

I don’t think Plex is even running.

If it says it is running, stop it.
If it shows you a “Run” button, click it and wait about a minute for it to start and try the browser line again.

Here is a screenshot of my package center. When I click on “open” it opens a new tab trying to access http://192.168.7.211:32400/web and then nothing happens…

You did stop it and restart it?

How do I stop it and restart it?

Oh I just figured out how to do that… Let me try it now
