I have the latest Plex Media Server (1.25.8.5663-7000) running on Synology NAS DSM 7.0. Suddenly no access whatsoever to plex at all. Synology DS920+ is working fine and accessible. Router rebooted and everything good.
I’m trying to do all of this remotely as I’m out of the country (USA).
Is anyone else having any issues?

Can you manually create a ZIP of the Logs
directory (PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server/Logs) ?
Download that ZIP file and attach here please.
I have Version 1.25.8.5663 running on a windows 10 machine, and twice in the past three days my Plex server suddenly stops responding. I can be watching a program, with no issues with regards to Wifi bandwidth or my router but suddenly Plex is not responding.
I have to reboot my machine to get Plex back up and running.
Could there be a problem with the latest server version?
I have the same issue, I think. Every five minutes or so, the connection to the Plex server is lost. This on LG TV, PC with the media player and on the web-player.
When I turn the Plex app on and off it works. For five minutes…
I am running version 1.25.8.5663 on WD PR4100.
To all following here:
If you have a problem occurring, PLEASE submit the SERVER debug logs with your post.
When you post a ‘Me too’ , there is nothing which can be done to figure out what’s happening,.
I understand. It took me a moment to find out how to download the logs. Please see attached

Thanks for replying Chuck.
I have two logs I have included here. One from the Plex Media server on my Synology NAS and the other from the app data on my windows PC. Thanks for any help. Everything was working fine until recently. Still not able to connect.

In everyone’s logs, I’m seeing what looks like browser (Plex/web) issues like this.
Is this true?

If this is the case,
- Are these all from the bundled app or app.plex.tv ?
- What happens when you switch to the other app?
I get the same problem from within the windows app and plex via a chrome browser. I can access the plex files on my Synology NAS easily but for whatever reason cannot access the server either by windows plex app, browser, apple plex app, or fire stick plex app.
Any ideas?
If you revert to a previous version?
That’s a good question. You mean previous version of Plex Media Server correct?
I’m having trouble finding a previous version.
I usually install NAS>Synology DSM 7>Intel x64. Where would I find previous versions of that?
The one I have installed is…
I don’t know how to revert to an earlier version
Also, Synology DSM will not allow to revert to an earlier version of plex media server. Do you have any knowledge that if you uninstall the current version without touching any of the plex folders, if it will allow a previous version to be installed without any issues assuming you/we find the previous version.
I got notification of a recent update again. I installed it and still no go…
I’ve included the logs too again…

You are in the Synology NAS (Linux) section.
You are using Windows. I am not a Windows engineer (except to break them)
Please create a new thread and tag it server-windows
(clear other tags).
Dude, I didn’t tag anything at all. Someone else did that, not me. This is a Plex Issue, so explain to me how this has become my problem?
If you can’t help, just say it, and I’ll gladly move on to someone else who can. There is nothing wrong with Synology NAS, it is ALL Plex as usual. I’ll start again with someone who is helpful. I asked you a question about a previous version and no help at all, thanks for nothing
Dude,
- The topic & forum section you posted in is “NAS & Devices” → Server-Synology. Please see the top of the column
- You gave me a zip of a Windows server,

Is Windows what you’re using?
If so then I cannot help you. I don’t use windows nor do I have any way of helping you BUT there are others who can.
Those who can help monitor the Windows section of the forum just as I monitor the Synology and Linux sections of the forum (both are Linux based)
I’m just trying to get you the best help I can… an I’m not the guy to ask for Windows help
I apologize, but I don’t know what the hell is wrong or where it is wrong…Is it the NAS or plex’s end or what?
The plex log from Synology is below… You mentioned about reverting to an earlier version. I have no idea where to find an earlier version, do you?

I guess all I know is, Plex Windows app won’t connect, plex.tv in a browser won’t connect, ios app won’t connect, and neither will fire stick (android). I’ll take any suggestions you have man

Terribly sorry but again you’ve given me logs from Windows.

Let’s try it this way?
- Open the Syno desktop in the browser
- Open FileStation
- Navigate
PlexMediaServer - AppData - Plex Media Server
- You’ll see
Logs
- Right-Click
Logs
→ Compress to Logs.zip
(do this)
- When done, download that ZIP to your computer
- Now upload / attach it with your reply.
