So i´m actually getting quite desperate right now. Im trying to migrate my Plex database from my PC to my Synology DS218+. But I can´t access the Synology Plex interface to setup my server.
That is, when I type in “http://192.168.4.XX:32400/web” in my browser, it says “Cannot reach website”.
My NAS is hardwired from my router and my PC is using wireless, from the same router. I have tried reinstalling several times, even installing the pakage manually, but nothing seems to work.
Is there anyone who has an idea? I would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: It seems I cannot actually acess my NAS from my browser by typing in my ip adress? Any reason for this? Also i can still access my network drives on my NAS from my PC on the LAN.
On the Synology, make sure PMS is actually running. Sometimes Package Center says it is but isn’t.
If running:
a. Open an incognito browser window
b. Open http://ip.addr.of.syno:32400/web
c. If the Plex/web loads, PMS is running.
d. If not, PMS isn’t running.
e. If not running, Control Panel - Shared Folders - EDIT the Plex share.
f. Make sure your username has access to the Plex share (R/W)
g. File Station: Plex / Library / Application Support / Plex Media Server
h. Right-click Logs and then Compress to Logs.zip
i. Attach that zip here
How can i make sure its running? Pakage center says that it is.
Tried entering “http://192.168.4.113:32400/web”, but the website wont load. I have set both R/W access on the plex folder.Logs.zip (120.8 KB)
You may have set the server to only allow secure connections? Try using https:// rather than http://. Certainly on my box the link in the synology UI fails because of this.
