Can't access server on PS4 app.

This is what happened step by step:

  • Logged in and got “An error has occurred”
  • Pressed circle and went back to home, it loaded for about 1 minute.
  • I can see my library now but no images.
  • Try to click on an item.
  • Sent back to “An error has occured”
  • Press circle and it says that I do not have access to this library
  • Quit PS4 App and start it again.
  • Now I can’t see my library at all, I try to sign in and out.
  • Check server and it is online but I do not see it on the app.
  • try to play someone elses content and the app crashes to the PS4 report screen.
  • start the app and still can not see my library.
  • Menu is broken, can’t see text and only boxes.
  • Press circle again and can see my library again but still gives me the same error.

This has been going on since I installed the app about 2 months ago, surely I am not missing anything? On some days it will work and give me “An error has occurred” after each episode I watch and on other days it will flat out not work at all, I am pretty sure it’s got something to do with the way it’s connecting to the server and its causing issues. Please help.

Hi Tenzinn, that sounds so very broken. Have you tried reinstalling the app? The behavior is so unusual.

As soon as i reinstalled it I opened the app again and it said “The server is offline or unreachable” I then looked at the logs and all seemed normal, all it had was auth token requests that had succeeded, I then checked the server and it was online and the port was open as usual.

edit: further restarting the app another time seems to have fixed it, but it breaks again from time to time so i guess the app is buggy as ever lol.
