I used to have Plex set up on a Synology NAS. That server will no longer start.
I have another Synology NAS (DS1821+) with DSM 7. I have Plex Media Server installed on it.
I created an entirely new account for Plex because I could not figure out how to have it forget about the old NAS.
I am trying to figure out how to connect the account to my new server.
I can access the server via it’s name https://synplex:32400 and I can not seem to add media.
I went into shared folders and granted Read/Write to my movies/ share to the PlexMediaServer account.
I am at my wits end because I do not understand what I’m missing. On the left sidebar I see a “Your Media” button. But the only thing it does is takes me to a download page to download the Plex Media Server package. I already got the latest spk and installed it via the Diskstation package manager.
