Can't Connect Securely - Yup, another one

Server Version#: 1.40.5.8921
Player Version#: ANY

Rebuilt my Plex server today - Windows 11. I had backed up the entire filesystem (but sadly the registry backup was corrupt) so I installed the new machine, installed Plex (into the same folder as the old machine - c:\data\plex) and copied everything back into place. When doing this the server got a new name so it basically renamed from “Master Collection” to “Main Collection”. Note: Absolutely nothing on the network has changed and the static IP for the sever is exactly the same as before (been working great for 5+ years)

I now can’t get any secure connections at all - including the local IP via https - just hard fails as nothing is responding on that port. I’ve set Secure Connections to preferred and back to required, nothing changes. When I check remote access it shows me all green - but I can’t access remotely from anything including the Plex web app.

I’m completely at a loss - from reading other threads I’m wondering if I need to have my certificate reset, I’ve PMed an employee that was doing that in another thread for people as I can’t imagine what would be causing this.

Thoughts? Any help you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated by me and my family!

Maybe Not authorized - You do not have access to this server - #2 by OttoKerner

Thanks so much @OttoKerner for the reply but sadly no, that didn’t really do anything - that said it doesn’t seem to work at all as it did NOT unclaim the server as it says it should. I’ve been through it 3 times now to confirm it’s good but I get nada.

Any other thoughts? I see that BigWheel read my DM to him but didn’t reply nor reset my cert as I requested as the only thing I can think at this point is that’s the problem.

Thanks again for the assistance!

How do you determine that?

Well when I went to the screen to claim the server it was still claimed and literally nothing changed.

That said either way I’m all set - I finally just punted and basically started over with the restore (hadn’t installed anything else yet so just formatted, Win11, restore) and while I did everything the same (as far as I know anyway) this time everything worked just fine.

So again I really appreciate you taking the time to help me, in the end I’m still pretty sure it was a problem with the certificate but regardless I and my users are happily back online and streaming once again.

All the best,

~Ross
