Can't connect to plex all of a sudden

Server Version#: Don’t know can’t access webpage probably latest though, I keep it updated.
Player Version#: Same

It’s on Ubuntu server 20.04. There’s nothing in the logs that’s helpful. The server has worked for months now but, all of a sudden, when I attempt to connect directly on port 32400, it says the connection is unexpectedly closed.

I have no idea what to do.

In Firefox, the error is more detailed:

An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.75.202:32400. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

I have the same issue but with windows server, in that thread is a user with the same issue on Ubuntu

Yep, here too…

Anyone know how to rollback a Plex install?

I tried navigating to https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server-new/ to look for old versions but apparently it just redirects you to the latest version? How are old versions not easily available??

OK, I’ve spun up a completely new VM of ubuntu 20.04.

I’ve installed the older version of PMS: plexmediaserver_1.20.3.3483-211702a9f_amd64.deb

The same behavior is occuring.

Here is /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Logs/Plex Media Server.log:

Something is very wrong…

I’ve now added the Plex repository and upgraded to plexmediaserver_1.20.4.3517-ab5e1197c_amd64.deb

The same behavior is occuring.

Here is /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Logs/Plex Media Server.log:

sudo lsof -i -P -n | grep LISTEN shows:

However, navigating to 192.168.75.202:32400/web/index.html looks the same as when I didn’t have PMS installed. As far as my browser is concerned nothing is listening on port 32400…

nmap -APn 192.168.75.202 -p 32400 shows the following output:

May I please request:

  1. May I please have the Server log files ZIP (DEBUG ON, VERBOSE OFF) ?
The ports info only shows if there is a problem.
The server logs , captured 2 minutes after startup, will tell us where it is
