Cant connect to Plex Media Server on shield

Server Version#: 1.13.8.5395
Player Version#: 7.6.1.7056

Bought nvidia shield and i am not able to connect from the client to the shield. I updated the Apps from Store, factory resetet the shield more then once… Created a new account for test… Bought a Plex Pass. Nothing helped. Plex Player is always saying he cant reach the server.
In the Settings the server is marked as “stopped” when im switching it “on” it doesnt help :confused:
Now is the Plex BETA Media Server installed. It cant be reached too.

I deacivated IPv6 on the shield,
Allowed unsecure connections
Tried with Wireless and Ethernet

Tried even over Tethering mobile network.

I dont know what to do right now :frowning:
Anyone suggestions ???

Having the same sort of issues these days. Plex seems to stop whenever it wants, says a direct connection to the server isn’t available (even though I’m using my shield app to connect) and general issues playing back media.

I’m thinking my library of 1.2TB on my NAS is getting too large for it to handle, but I’m not sure.

The logs don’t seem to have a lot of information when I can actually get the log page to work. Hoping this is a known issue that can be fixed soon.

Thinking about building a new computer to replace my shield, but I liked the idea of having a small, fanless device. Maybe a NUC would fare better.

I don’t think the size is a problem… My Mediathek is larger…

My Plex server runs right now.
Funny was…that I didn’t really changed a lot.
I tried to downgrade the server and keep client alife…and on the otherway first the client and then the server. After that it runs :confused: strange … I read that the server needs a time after reboot. So I always waiter a bit

What setting did you change? I am having the same problem, but only on Plex installed on my Shield TV. It works great everywhere else
