Hello everyone.
I know this topic is brought up all the time, and it seems to be different for everyone. I’ve spent most of my day reading through threads and trying to troubleshoot, and I’m coming to the end of what I feel I can do on my own.
I just set up a plex server for the first time last night. I tried connecting to remote access and it turns green and says it is connected, but within 10 - 60 seconds later it’s back to red saying " Not available outside your network"
I am using an Orbi RBR20 Router with one Satellite connected to an Arris Surfboard modem. I am fairly certain there is not a double-NAT issue.
UPnP is enabled on the router, but Plex doesn’t connect. When I try to enable remote access without manual port forwarding, it does show on my router settings in the UPnP Portmap table as an active port, but it fails after a few seconds.
I’ve set my internet IP address as a static address within my router settings and I also set it within Windows 10. I have enabled port forwarding through port 32400 and to my knowledge followed the troubleshooting steps outlined by Plex. Again, it connects for a few seconds, and then goes right back to saying “Not available outside your network” This time it does not show as an active port in the UPnP Portmap table.
I’ve checked my firewall settings and Plex is allowed. I feel like I’ve made so many changes that I’ve not sure if I’ve helped or hurt, but I am out of ideas on what to try or where to go.
If anyone is able to offer advice or help, I would be greatly appreciative.
Thanks
