Can't connect to server through internet

I have a Plex Server set up on my Synology NAS.
For some reason, my players - iOS, FireTV - can’t connect to the server outside my home network.

I have the Private 192.168.1.2:32400 ← Public ...:19084 ← Internet option on under the Remote Access setting.
Do I have to manually specify public port as well? Ours is a Verizon Actiontec router.

have you gone to canyouseeme.org entering in the 19084 and check that it successfully pings server

if you use manual port forwarding you do. Which we generally recommend as it is usually more stable than relying on UPnP. You would also need to set up things so your server computer to get a static local IP like via DHCP reservation. I don’t have that router so can’t help with specifics of that but I imagine there are instructions online to set up port forwarding for that actiontec

Ok, this is really strange.
As suddenly as “connect server through internet” stopped working, it started working again today.
I haven’t changed any setting whatsoever and have no idea what triggered either event.

I may have spoken to soon.
It’s again not working… Plex drives me crazy with all these little glitches.
