Lost access to server(s) - Synology NAS and MAC

Server Version#: PlexMediaServer-1.20.1.3252-a78fef9a9-x86_64.spk”. - downloaded and installed on NAS
Player Version#:???

So I had access for a few days, but made a change to my router to allow a remote user yesterday. All was fine, but this morning I got an error - Safari can’t open “192.168.1.xxx:32400/web” because Sarafi con’t connect to the server “192.128.1.xxx”

Had assigned the “server name” the xxx address and all had been fine until I tried the following (and changed the server settings - which now I can’t access).
(Found on AT&T Forum)
1. Plex UDP, select UDP as the setting and the port number to 32400 (assuming you are using the manual port setup)

2. Plex TCP, select TCP as the setting and the port number to 32400 (assuming you are using the manual port setup)

Now, after you have created the two apps, type in the ip address supplied by your uverse wireless connection. By default it is a 192.168.1.x number. Put that number into the box that says “Enter IP Address”. This is in the firewall/Applications, Pinholes and DMZ tab

Once you select that IP scroll down and select the user-defined list, you should see Plex udp and Plex TCP, select them both and then add. Save your changes.

I had access to my MAC server, but now that won’t connect either - I’m getting worse rather than better with every change I try.

Please help.

According to the AT&T forum I did set the port forwarding as described (only has a single port option, not internal or external) - that is what was described above from the AT&T forum. However, when I try to open the Plex App on the NAS it doesn’t find the server to make the other changes.

I did try deleting the forwarding changes I made yesterday, but it’s not working that way either.

I would love to claim the server if I could find it??

If I try to open Plex as described I get the an error!

I appreciate the follow up. Before I do that can I ask if IPv6 is my problem? I see that my router has the assigned IP address I selected, but then a bunch of IPv6 data after.

I’ve turned off IPv6 and renamed the file on the server, but when I try to open Plex on the NAS I get the same message. (see screen shot attached). I did reset the router and re-start the NAS and MAC after the changes were made.

I’m sure it has something to do with my router because all was fine until this morning??? Firewall is not enabled on DSM. It seems the 32400 is my problem?

Not working with chrome either

I received this recommendation fro Synology, do you see any problems in trying this? I don’t want to lose everything I’ve loaded (I know it’s on my drive, I just don’t want to be further away from a fix).

Oftentimes in the past if Plex encounters errors, they suggest the re-installing Plex but following these instructions to ensure Plex is running optimally.

Rename the current Plex shared folder, uninstall Plex. Make sure the plex folder and user account are “plex” not “Plex”, need to be all lowercase

Reboot the NAS before attempting to install Plex. Download a fresh copy of the installer from https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/#plex-media-server but DO NOT use Chrome or Safari, they have been known to not complete the download correctly."
