I can't acces my Synology Plex Media Server remotely

Player Version#: iOS 8.3.1

I’ve installed Plex Media Server in my Synology NAS.
I can easily acces my content within my local network.
However I can’t access the same content through internet when I am out of my home network.
I am using the up to date firmware in my NAS
I believe I need to open a port for this but I don’t know to do it.
I would appreciate a lot if you can help me with the settings.
