It may be that the TV app is no longer being updated and is now having issues connecting period. hey, i have the same problem with my new LG CineBeam with WebOS. so i connected my FireTV Stick. With it connected, Plex works just fine. But it would be better when i do not need a extra device to play plex. regards

Like I said in my other post, these TV manufacturers are to blame for their lack of support. This is why everyone on here will try to push people to move on from the garbage “smart” features of TV’s and try to move on to a streamer of some kind.
