My account here shows one screen name and when I log into the plex media server it shows a different screen name. When I log into Plex on my home server ALL my media has disappeared! Movies, Music, playlists everything! It shows a place to add media to the server with a “plus” button and when I click on it; absolutely nothing happens. So I lost all my media and I can’t add anymore (not like I want to start back over from scratch anyway). No libraries nothing. Not only that but for the last 4 days it wouldn’t even connect. No I haven’t changed router settings or got a new router.
This indicates that your server is probably connected to a different plex account than your clients (web browser etc.)
You need to rectify this.
(Don’t use “Login with Google”. Use the email address and your password. Which you should reset btw.)

I am using my email and not using login with google.
I am not saying that you do. It was just a little side note, warning you of a potential pitfall.
Got it. Any other suggestions to get my library back or do I have to start all back over from scratch? I don’t know why everything disappeared?
The linked procedure doesn’t affect your server data.
If there were libraries on this server before, they will be retained.
It only renews the assignment of the server to a plex user account.
