Recent cookies deleted, lost access to server

Server Version#:
Player Version#:
Can’t provide #s, as everything is lost.
Cleaned up computer history by deleting cookies, now Plex doesn’t recognize me, or list any of my media. It’s just like I’m a new user.
The files are fine, but Plex doesn’t “see” them, or remember me, at all.
If starting over is necessary, how do I go about that?
It it’s not, what’s the shortcut back to my stuff?

Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Can you still login? I don’t really understand your problem so could you maybe upload a screenshot to show the issue?

At first, all I got was “No soup for you!”
Then, I signed in again … perhaps now I’m a new user?
None of my media show up on the left, and the message says that I
don’t have the server.

So I tried an old email address (still active),
and got the second message (capture #2)

Are you sure you made your account with your email address and not with facebook, apple or with your google account?

Yes.
Years ago.

Plex recognizes the email, or it couldn’t say it was already taken, but doesn’t “know” that it’s mine …

So you can’t login with that old email address but can you still login with another one or not because I don’t understand if you have problems logging in or problems claiming the server. If you want to make a new PMS on your laptop with a different account you will have to uninstall the server completely you can do this by following the following instructions

First, I am quite impressed by the speed with which you jumped in to try to help.
Thank you so much for that!

I have also been in contact with my nephew, an IT guy, who gave me the solution:
signout of the new account (yes, I inadvertantly created another one). Sign back in with the old one, the one I couldn’t use before signing out.

That worked, and I am restored.

Again, thank you for responding so quickly to what was obviously not a very clearly stated problem.

Cheers!

that’s not the sign in page. that’s to change the email on an account, if you want to sign in with a different emial you need to sign out first.

i see you figured it out.

Yes, thank you.
My nephew gets the credit.
Signing out appears to be the app version of
“Have you tried unplugging it, then plugging it back in?”
