Media server disappears and its content

I’m using the latest Plex media server for Windows and for Synology. For the first time I can recall since I bought Plex pass when it first came out many years ago, my entire setup and content library has disappeared. It’s just not there. I haven’t changed anything.

Using the Plex app on my phone and TV and shield, I couldn’t even find an option or area to see my own files. It’s as if it gets hidden if it’s not connected and not even part of the options anymore, and makes it appear like the app is now yet another content aggregator. I’m going to re-add the exact same Synology server and I guess you will have to take time to rebuild the entire content library. I wonder if this has happened to others and also whether the personal media library component is being phased out.

Did you by chance change your account password and opt to sign out all devices? This will also sign out / unclaim your servers.

Can you still see them using their local IP, e.g. http://127.0.0.1:32400/web if you’re on the same machine as the Windows PMS?

It doesn’t show the Plex Pass on your username. Which could mean that you are currently logged into a different Plex user account, which hasn’t been granted access to your server.

Yes - it seems I’m logged in on another account. That said, I had to uninstall and reinstall the Plex server in order to get it to work. Something disconnected entirely but now it’s finally working.
