Server Version#: Version 4.63.0
Player Version#: Plex for Mac Version 1.35.1.2632-c6783c78
Referencing previous discussions such as How do I disable autoplay on my server it looks like I should be able to just uncheck the “Auto Play” checkbox in the playback settings when a video is playing.
This does not work. Auto Play is unchecked, and it plays the next video.
For the advice indicating to uncheck it on the screen that comes up between videos, that would be great advice if the screen came up at all between videos. It just moves from the video that’s playing directly to the next one.
This is only happening to one of my shows. The other ones seem to behave as expected.
Are you playing a playlist or do you mean a TV show and it is starting the next episode?
Afaik Playlists ignore autoplay setting as a playlist should not stop as that is the reason for a playlist. As opposed to just playing a single item.
Auto play really only for next episode of tv shows where this screen will show between episodes. (there is timer on thumbnail if it was on) so it sort of behaves like a playlist without making one explicitly.
I have a library with a collection of videos labeled as a TV show. It’s not a “recognized” TV show in terms of TVDB, but something like:
Home Video S01E01
Home Video S01E02
etc.
Plex recognizes it as a TV show, with a season and episodes. And I have two video collections set up this way, all in the same library.
One of them shows the screen you’re showing above between videos. The other doesn’t - it just moves along to the next video with no intervening screen at all. And that’s the problem. It’s like something about the show is set incorrectly - but I can’t find any settings for that.
And incidentally, if I just make a complete copy of the folder within the library - so it’s a new “show” in Plex - it works fine. I’d just like to figure out what’s going on, so I don’t have to go through and mark 70 or so videos as “played”.
