Can't even stream downloads to chromecast?

Hi
Basically i like to have my series downloaded on to my iphone instead of using the server all the time. So i’m downloading them using the download function on the mobile app off my server.
Using plex this way i get the resume and already viewed features, perfect!
They play just fine on the device.

One big problem I can’t chromecast any downloaded media.
I get ‘oops something went wrong’
I thought it was a format problem but I’ve changed the video format of the files to mp4.
Looks like they get converted to HEVC and then become uncastable?

Anyone else experienced this? How to fix i wonder?

Casting or flinging downloaded content to another device is currently not supported.

Plex have commented they hope to support it in the future but no official confirmation or ETA.
