Can't find a recently added album

Server Version#: 4.125.1
Player Version#: 4.131.1

Hello, I just added an album to my music library, and Plex will not find it.
In this case they are WAV files, tagged correctly, using mp3tag and the Discogs database, just like the 2,000 other bands I have on there. I updated the server recently, I have done a full library scan several times, I have made sure that “Scan automatically” and “scan whenever changes are detected” is checked, although it neither scans automatically or when something is changed. I have moved the new album from the folder, scanned, moved it back, scanned again, and repeated this several times, no fix. I do see that when scanning, the new album will show up quickly in the “activity” status section, along with a lot of other recently added albums, but it won’t show up in the library. I have restarted the Plex server several times, rebooted PC, etc. I’m not sure what else I can do to get Plex to have the simple functionality of reflecting changes in my music folder. I also edited an album recently- deleted some bonus tracks, looked up a different version in the mp3tag Discogs database, etc. and it won’t reflect those changes either, still showing the deleted files in that album. No other issues with Plex, no issues with other folders, or playback, or anything, this lack of folder change updates is the only issue I am seeing. Also, my folder structure, which has always worked fine, is a simple Music\Artist\Album structure. I’ve never messed with logs but I can upload whatever logs might be helpful.

Have you tried to use the folder view from the main library tab to see if it mistakenly got merged with another album? Please also check if the folder naming for that particular album has any naming characteristics that force Plex to ignore it. E.g. having a … Before the name excludes it from Plex etc.

Plex cannot read tags from WAV files.
So the only hints Plex can use are the folder structure and the file names. Which doesn’t work well, particularly when “prefer local metatags” is activated.

I recommend switching to FLAC files, which also store the full quality of wav, but support extensive meta tags.

Interesting… I have other WAV files in my library, so I didn’t think that would be the issue. That fixed it, thank you!
