Can't find media in one specific folder (but can in others)

I have Plex running in an Ubuntu VM, and it accesses a network drive (cifs) to find media. It’s been working fine until I added a new folder in the media folder (for TV shows, named TV). I did this through Windows. I added content to it, but in Plex, when I scan for media files, it doesn’t find anything.

In case it was a permission issue, I tried doing sudo chown -R plex:plex /PlexMedia/ but that didn’t fix it either. It’s bizarre… I can add content to other sub-folders (e.g. Films) that live in /PlexMedia and scans will find them, just not the TV folder…

May I see the server logs ZIP file which captures this ? (Scanning files but failing)

Specifically,

1. Restart the server
2. Let sit idle for 2 minutes before acting
3. Now Scan files
4. Allow to finish
5. Download the logs ZIP
6. attach

Looking at how you name media leads me to believe your problem

May I recommend a renaming tool? FileBot / TheRenamer to curate your names and make them compliant?

I suspect you are ‘getting lucky’ with some but others are falling through the cracks.
