Cant find server on tv what changed ?

Hi i installed the latest version of plex and i did a startup cleaner. And now plex works everywhere besides the bedroom tv.
One cabel goes to the tv and another goes upstair i can watch plex on the pc and all the devices besides the lg tv upstairs.

He just cant connect to the server downstairs anyone know how to fix this ?

Same issue here. My LG TV does not see the server since the last update.

Welcome to the forums

Is it LG TV ? YES
Is it LG MediaLink or LG Smartshare?

Have a look at this post

Edited !

Personally I haven’t changed any network / firewall setting and the same setup worked flawlessly before the update. And it is still working on my mobile phone, so I don’t think it’s a firewall issue.
To be more precise, the TV does see the server, but when I try connect to it, it is unable to show the folder system.

IMPORTANT: With the security changes in version 1.1.0, if your Plex Media Server is signed in to a plex.tv account, then all of the apps you use must also be signed-in. If you use older apps that cannot authenticate (e.g. LG’s MediaLink app), you can add the IP address of the device to the following advanced preference: Settings > Server > Network > List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth. (We strongly encourage apps to be signed in for improved security and enhanced functionality.)

Skip past the sentences about the firewall in that linked post

Thank you for the quick answer. I have added the IP address of the TV to the allowed without auth list but still not working.

LG Smartshare has been verified to work
LG Media Link appears to need the whole subnet to be allowed
I am trying to get Plex DLNA Server / Plex Media Server logs to try and understand why that is

How can I allow the whole subnet?

I’m trying to use MediaLink BTW.

Could you get me the logs ? when the IP of the LG TV is entered in the setting?

For users have found is that entry of, for example 192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0, resolved the issue
What is the IP Address of the LG TV?

What is the IP Address of the LG TV?

IP Address: 192.168.0.10
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1

Entering 192.168.0.10/255.255.255.0, seems to solve the Medialink problem, thanks for the tip!

Yes that is what has been found whe using the older Medialink product. The specific IP works fine with the more recent LG Smartshare

I need the server and dlna plex log files covering the attempt to use Medialink to have a look

Making sure all forum topics referencing this issue has the latest info

The issue with the LG TV Medialink software has now been identified and a workaround is outlined below. The more recent LG TV Smartshare does not have the problem

For LG Medialink, you need to have two IP Addresses specified in the List of IP Addresses and Networks Not Requiring Auth field, the IP Address of the LG TV and the IP Address of the Plex Media Server.
Note: comma separated IP Addresses and no space characters to be entered

If the server has more than one network interface active (not really recommended), then all the IP Addresses need to be entered.

A fix is being worked on and will be released in a future version of Plex Media Server. Meanwhile this is the recommended solution

For LG Smartshare - it is sufficient to just have the LG TV IP in the
List of IP Addresses and Networks Not Requiring Auth

Note that these IP Addresses need to be DHCP Reserved or Static outside DHCP Range
