Can't Find Server

Server Version#: 1.31.3.6819
Player Version#:1.66.1

Plex was working fine, until I upgraded to Lifetime member. As soon as I did that, my entire library was deleted and my server went missing. I have tried to uninstall / reinstall - both through the website and through Windows Store. Each time, when I go to re-add my media, Plex tells me to download the server, but the server is downloaded. I don’t have my VPN active and I turned off my firewall. Nothing is working.

SOLVED:

I apparently had two different emails for Plex and didn’t realize it (I honestly never noticed, which actually explains a lot considering my stuff - and membership - would change depending on if I used Google or Facebook to sign in - but the thought I could be accidently using two different emails never crossed my mind and I simply never bothered to look too far into it as I just assumed it was a glitch).

Anyway, it turns out the server (and all my stuff) was on the email I didn’t get the lifetime membership for., which is why everything was gone and I couldn’t connect to the server. On a whim I decided to sign in using the only method I hadn’t tried and bam, everything was there (that’s when I noticed the separate email). I was able to disconnect the server from that email and add it to my main email. I’ll have to redo all my libraries, but it’s a very small matter created from my own ignorance.

So yeah, in case anyone ever has the same problem - just make sure you are using the correct sign-in…d’uh!

You’re not the first and won’t be the last lol

Glad you got it sorted.

Just FYI, now that you have the Plex pass your server might be scanning your media for both video intro markers and the new credit detection feature. (enabled by default)

This is a giant CPU hog depending on how much media you have

I’m just mentioning it in case you see a noticeable decrease in performance all of a sudden and don’t know why
