Ok I can’t get the 2000 Dune miniseries to show up in TV Shows. I tried all the things that worked with Children of Dune and no go. I’ve got a season 1 folder, I’ve named each episode as “Dune miniseries season 1 episode (x)” (Google isn’t showing any episode titles), I’ve tried “Dune TV series” and “Dune miniseries 2000” and “Dune TV Show 2000” to no avail.
It should be named like this:
TV Shows\ <--- Library points here, name not important
Dune (2000)\
Season 01\
Dune (2000) - S01E01.mkv
...
Dune (2000) - S01E03.mkv
You can also include the episode names in the titles:
Dune (2000) - S01E01 - Dune.mkv
Substitute your actual file extension for .mkv.
If it still gives you problems matching, you can try leaving “(2000)” out of the directory/file names. But my experience is that including the year helps with disambiguation when there are multiple choices with the same/similar names. There have been some recent reports of including the year causing problems, particularly for shows from this year.
There is no (YEAR) field in the name, technically, but Years previous to this one don’t seem to be affected either way. (2020) is a different story. Suggest sticking to the exact TVDB name in that case:
A TV Show Library\
.....Dune\
........Season 01\
..........Dune - S01E01.mp4
Did work instantly in this test just now:
Looks like including the year doesn’t cause a problem for this one. Using the naming I suggested above results in:
Alright, we’re in business. Thank you
Yea, that’s what we’re seeing in ‘Match Failures’ as well.
Before (2020) and it doesn’t seem to matter.
