Can't get remote access to work

Hi, I am having an error anytime I try and use remote access which is why I bought plex pass, if this doesn’t work I expect a refund as I shouldn’t have to even go through any of this.
I get this error everytime I try and connect the server to be accessed outside my network, note I have an all-in-1 router modem from allo communications, and my ports are properly forwarded and UPNP is also enabled. This is teh error I get every time, and no forum post on here has helped, I’m actually sad with the amount of pain you have to go through just to get support on something with this program, what does plex have against a phone number.
This is the error I’m getting any help would be appriciated.
Not available outside your network
Your server is signed in to Plex, but is not reachable from outside your network. Tip: It looks like your server may be connected to the internet through multiple routers or other network devices. Try connecting it directly to your primary device, or visit our support site for more information about troubleshooting this “Double-NAT” scenario.

EDIT: I’m using plex for windows as your site is not very screenreader accessible either I can’t get the right tags to show up.

You are saying you have only one internet device from allo.
If you get the above message, then your internet connection is not suitable for the Plex remote access.
Apparently, your internet provider doesn’t provide you with a so-called publicly accessible IPv4 address.
There is nothing Plex can do about this. The only party which can change this is your internet provider.

Okay, but how does that even make sense? I have an IPV4 cause I can not only see my IP address on other sites, but I can also see the IPV4 address on the plex remote access portion.

There are 2 types of IPv4 addresses: those which can be directly contacted from the internet
and those which cannot (so-called ‘private’ IP address).
Your provider apparently is only handing out private IP addresses to its customers.
This is done more frequently lately to deal with the shortage of IPv4 addresses.

The result of this is that Plex clients from outside your home network, cannot contact your Plex server directly.

You can confirm the ‘double NAT’ assumption of Plex by doing this:

  1. read the external IP address which is shown to you on the ‘Remote Access’ configuration page in Plex
  2. browse to canyouseeme.org and read the IP address which is displayed there.
  3. compare the two addresses. If they are different, the ‘double NAT’ situation is confirmed.

I figured it out, it is indeed using double nat, for the exact reason stated above, so basically a bunch of people share 1 IP address then are filtered in some way as to allow multiple people to use the same IP.
For any future topics concerning allo communications the solution is simple. Allo offers a static IP which only costs 5 extra dollars a month if you need another router to hook up to your current all-in-1 allo will provide you with one free of charge, or if you have your own, you simply need it hooked up to the modem and the static IP and your good to go. I hope this will solve a lot of other peoples issues.
