Can't Install Plex App on Roku

I have a Roku TV and suddenly my Plex channel kept crashing. So I tried restarting it, no luck, so I then restarted Roku, no luck. I then tried to uninstall and reinstall the channel… I uninstalled it successfully, but when trying to reinstall I get the message “Channel installed failed” and “Could not add ‘Plex - Free Movies & TV’”. I tried several times with no luck.

So I then went to get the official preview build of the Plex channel and upon doing the ‘System Update’ it first says its Adding ‘Plex - Free Movies & TV’ (The channel I can’t install) and then says its Adding ‘Plex Preview’. Neither of these cause an error and I get the message ‘All software is up to date.’. However the channels are nowhere to be found.

So I next tried clearing the cache, that had no effect.

So finally as a last resort I factory reset the whole TV… and it still did not allow me to install the channel. I still get the same error message.

Anybody know what else I can try? If a Factory Reset didn’t fix it then I have no idea what I could do next.

Did you try going to your Roku account on the Roku.com website and install it from there? Just an idea.

Yes, I had tried that, to sadly no effect.

Sorry that was my only other thought than what you’ve already done.
What version is your Roku Tv? They just did an update to the Roku OS, maybe that caused it?
I have two Roku 3’s, a Roku Premiere+, Roku Streaming Stick and a Hisense Roku TV and no problems with the app(s).
