Same here. Also LG tv. Worked for years and now suddenly same problem. Plex still working on android phone and Windows laptop
Exact same problem here,
LG 55UB850V (05.05.90)
WebOS tv version: 1.4.0-2337
Plex app is fully up to date (according to lg store) as at 11th March 2020 at 22:45 uk time (v2.1.3 edit3: 21 Aug 2019).
Is this a plex api service issue or an LG not updating their store issue??
Edit: unplugged TV from mains completely for 30secs and tried again, same issue.
Also worth mentioning that in my case the link screen has always shown in the correct language.
Edit2: just in case this was a DNS resolution issue, i changed my dns ip’s but alas same problem occurs.
I’m experiencing the same problem.
Was working via Roku streaming stick. 1 hour later, turned on the LG TV, and I’m getting the sign-in page (now displaying in Spanish).
Tried the link code, but I kept getting the “Code not found or expired” error.
I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app. Same problem.
I’ve tried power cycling the media server, power cycling the router, and the LGTV itself. All didn’t work.
Everything, however, appears normal with other devices.

Same problem on LG TV with the official Plex application. I used it for years without problems.
Temporary fixed using the unofficial application « X-Play ». The code is found, and the account is now linked.
Expecting a fix to use the official application soon.
Guessing the fact that the LG store (on my tv at least) hasnt had a plex app update since 21/08/2019 could have something to do with it, perhaps it has an old URL hardcoded in it that needed to be updated and wasnt?!?
Weird. I have 2 LG TVs. Newer one works fine but the older one is having this exact problem.
@jkeen23_gmail.com - can you check the version numbers (and release dates) of the plex app on both tv’s ?
I think lg store is pretty poor and suspect you will have different versions on each tv!

On mobile and windows laptop works fine.
Uninstall and install havent solve the problem.

I tried updating the TV itself but its upto date.Deleted the app and re installed and its the same.

You havent turned off tls 1.0 on the plex api server have you? Hehe just a thought.
Same here. It’s been working fine for years, and we never needed to do anything to our setup other than occasionally update the desktop app when prompted to. I came home late tonight, started the server computer, turned on the TV. Out of the blue the LG app is asking for my credentials, it then gave me a 4 digit code. The website says ‘Code not found or expired’ I reinstalled the app, restarted the server too. I get a new code, but still not accepted.
Same here. It’s just ridiculous the state of both plex players and the app across platforms. Turned the tv off after watching something. Turned it back on later and its stopped working. I now get api limit reached as well as code expired
