Can't login from windows 10 on the website or the app but can on everything else

I have a server on a windows 10 PC that has been running flawlessly for a while. I changed modems recently but I am not sure that has anything to do with my problem. At first I couldn’t connect to the server remotely so I started normal troubleshooting. I can’t login to the standard plex.tv website even. I hit sign in and the white box pops up never loads and shows an error. I was told to unclaim and reclaim the server. I tried doing that but can’t login from the windows 10 app, the site, or localhost. I tried three different browsers. I can login fine on my Mac and iPhones. I got so frustrated I completely uninstalled Plex, deleted the registry and local cache and reinstalled it and still nothing changes. I tried connecting directly to the modem, I tried connecting to a hotspot, I tried everything I can think of and I just can’t login. Whenever I hit the claim button in the app it just doesn’t do anything and doesn’t even give me the option to login, just to switch users, which doesn’t do anything. I have no idea what is going on. Any help would be appreciated. I even tried logging into the website after completely uninstalling everything and that didn’t help. I’m lost.

Access to plex.tv or app.plex.tv/desktop has nothing to do with your server. You do not need a Plex server installed or running for either.

If you can’t login to either, then make sure you’ve ad blockers, privacy plugins, etc disabled or at least have *.plex.tv whitelisted.

You might try using an incognito/private window as well.

Often it has to do with how the router does “domain name resolution”.
Some ISPs are applying block lists or simply don’t update their own DNS servers frequently enough.
The solution is to go into the settings menu of the router and set the “DNS server” to those of Google (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1).

While you are there, look out for settings related to “DNS rebinding protection”.
If you find a list of exceptions, add plex.direct to it.
