I’m having issues with two different videos not playing. I having Googled the problem and people are saying its related to the subtitles.
All the posts online suggest that I disable subtitles for the affected files.
Unfortunately, this hasn’t fixed my issue. I still can’t play the two files and I still receive the message.
Any ideas?
My setup is a basic Windows 10 Desktop PC and a PS4. All within the same network. Not much else to say about that.
Not sure what you mean by “XML files for the videos in question”. I assume you mean file info in XML format? If so, see file attached.
This isn’t the first time I had this issue. I had it before a few weeks ago with two different movies, both of which had the same issue. I gave up on them and download replacements but since the issue is back with this movie, I need to find a solution. That’s why I don’t want to download another replacement, I want to know the issue and fix this permanently.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the files as I can play them fine on my PC using Plex web player. They just don’t work via the Plex app on my PS4 and Xbox One. I tried disabling subtitles but that does nothing.
