Can't play videos on remote connection

Server Version#: 1.24.5.5173
Player Version#: 8.25.1.28703 (android)

I can browse my media, but when I click play I get this error: “An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.”

Server Log Messages during the playback failure:
[Transcode] Denying access to transcode of key /library/metadata/12065 due to terminated session
[Transcode] Got a request to stop a transcode session without a valid session GUID.

Everything works when connected to my local network. Problem only occurs when remote or outside of my network. Everything works when connecting to my friends Plex server remotely from the same Android device.

Cannot debug from that single line snip.

please verify DEBUG logging enabled - Recreate - Now download the server logs and attach the ZIP

Your logs don’t show me a Plex startup.

What I am seeing in your logs looks like your LAN IP is 169.254.7.x and 10.50.x.x ?

Would you please explain further for me?

I ask because 169.254 isn’t an RFC-1918 compliant address (needed for Remote Access to work)

The 10.50.x.x is internal (LAN) to my network. The specific IP is a camera and Plex is seeing it for some reason, but is irrelevant in this case. I don’t know where Plex is seeing the 169.254.7.x from. Must be something on my LAN again and should be irrelevant as well.

The IP in question is 174.204.18.174 coming from the WAN. This is my Android device connecting to Plex from the WAN and gets the error “An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.” Then the Plex console logs this message for this IP:
“WARN - [Transcode] Denying access to transcode of key /library/metadata/43 due to terminated session”
