Hey all I have a plex lifetime pass and everything seems to work fine for remote streaming for most users on my server. Recently however I have 2 users on IOS that are saying the play time is being limited and getting a message about activating the account to remove playback restrictions in the IOS app with a one time purchase. I saw an article saying this may happen on IOS ver.8.45 and lower but my brother is on version 18.6.2 and is suddenly being prompted to pay for it. Is this normal for Iphone plex or an issue?
That’s a dated version of iOS, not the version of the Plex app. The current version of the Plex app does no longer require that activation.
OK I’ll have him try uninstalling and re-install the app to make sure its up to date. If it doesn’t fix it I’ll post here the version of the plex app he’s on as well.
