I meant one of the servers shared with me. I can’t leave it. It’s actually C—-a A——–s. I’ve removed them as a friend and was able to remove the other two servers they shared with me. just not that one.
@ChuckPa any update on this? just to reiterate, it’s not MY server I need removed. It’s someone else’s
- Unpin the server from your player
-or-
- Contact that person.
I am not permitted to make changes to someone else’s account
- I’ve obviously done that. It is not pinned. It is just listed in the servers I have access to when I go into “More” and it’s been offline for probably a year.
- I have no way of contacting that person anymore. You’re telling me there’s absolutely zero way to do this? That doesn’t make any sense. I’ve removed them as a friend and the other two servers they had given me access to both successfully disappeared. This one just won’t go away. So I’m just going to have a spinning unconnectable server on my sidebar forever? There should absolutely be a way to edit MY account if I don’t want MY account connected to someone else’s.
I’m in a similar situation. I have one showing up on my account that is the same name as my current one but I cannot get rid of it. Annoys the hell out of me. Only shows up on the plex app on windows, not the web player.
I looked at your account and see only two servers you own.
I don’t see anything else.
I don’t know Windows / Windows app.
When I’ve had cache problems on Android, I just reinstalled it.
I don’t know what to do on Windows.
Sorry
There should be only one server though. I reinstalled the windows app. Will go rooting further into windows cache.
I will send you a PM with the server info.
We can resolve it in PM.
For anyone having this issue where its not a dead/dormant server that chuck can remove, I checked on my PlexApp for Windows and it was present but not in the WebApp, turns out there was stale enteries in the plex.ini file.
Folks,
I had a chat with my manager today.
For those extenuating circumstances where you can’t break a connection to a shared server (which is most likely now dead), I have privilege to remove those dead connections.
I have always been able to remove old/dead servers from your account.
The new authorization is removing shares to your account.
I have two spinning dead/dormant shared servers showing. It would be awesome if you could take the time to remove them:
- PL*******25: “.H**80.”
- PL*******25: “h**i”
Those don’t show when you click on the username of the person that gave you access to them at https://ninjas.plex.tv/desktop/main/#!/settings/manage-library-access ?
Hello!
I too have had this problem for years, and I’m just now trying to clean it up and get resolved and found this thread.
My “old” server is just named “Plex” and my active one is “PL3X.” Ive tried every suggestion possible and confident the only way to get this removed is by requesting here.
Can you please remove the “Plex” entry which is inactive, has no media, and only displays in the UI with a “Watchlist” (which ironically even if unpinning, comes right back)?
Thanks!
Could you please remove my old server Plex [capital P] the active one is plex now
Thanks
Hello @ChuckPa,
I also have a ghost server which seems to refuse to go away (not showing in the Authorised Devices). Could you please remove Diskstation23 from my account?
Thanks,
Pat
Plex.tv only has DS23.
If you’re still seeing other servers, they’re likely pinned sources or in the program cache because the app hasn’t been fully stopped and restarted ( tv & phone & tablet apps are prone to this)
Server “P” is not listed. Might it be the same situation as Patboy94 above?
I only see `Pl3x" on Plex.tv
Might you also have the same situation as above ?
Thanks for the super quick response @ChuckPa.
Old server no longer shows.
I’m in the same situation, built a new server and was connecting it to Ombi via creds and I noticed two old ones are still showing up even though they aren’t listed in my ‘authorized devices’→Servers. The only one that I should have on my account now is ‘plex-transcode’. @ChuckPa would you be so kind as to remove the other two? Really appreciate this forum, the community, and plex in general! You guys are awesome!
I am retired from Plex.
You’ll need one of the Employees or Contractors to go look.
I’ll call them for you.
@popecix I see one called “aio-media-srv” that I removed but i don’t see another of your own.
There are three that others gave you access to. Are you saying you want those removed too?
what are names of ones you wanted removed?
