Hello all, I was curious as to why it’s not letting me rename a collection? I was making sure I matched the Collection titles on both TV and Movies so they can be seen in either category without having to switch. I accidentally named the TV version of one collection with one word different and I can only change the Sort Title to match the correct format of the Movie counterpart. If there’s a file in the Plex folder I can just edit myself, that would be helpful but after looking in it, there are so many that I don’t have the foggiest idea of where to even begin looking. Everything I have is up to date, from windows, to video card, to literally everything including Plex Server. Any help would be greatly appreciated, since I am down to just one teeny, tiny error.
I’m guessing this is the problem: You don’t want to rename the collection, you need to change the Collection tag in the show within the collection.
Open the Collection and edit the show:
Then edit the Collection on the Tags page:
Thanks for the reply, that was going to be my last ditch effort since the collection on both ends(Movie and TV) are fairly loaded with lots of films or shows. I’ll just pick the lesser of the two evils and work on it that way. Thanks again for the reply

I suspect you’re not yet using:
Version 1.22.2.4282
In previous versions a regression ensured you couldn’t Delete - or Rename - a Collection… but now you can (again).
I just checked BTW and it’s working fine:
Simply change the name in the first field. The Collection and everything in it will transform to the new Collection Name.
I believe the issue is that Plex doesn’t allow you to rename a collection to the same name as a collection which already exists in any library on the server (gives the “Your changes could not be saved” error).
This means that if you are trying to create collections with the same name in two libraries (e.g. to link a movie and related TV shows) you need to make sure you initially create them with the title you want and not rename them afterwards.
