Can't restore purchase on family share enabled iPad

So I bought my wife an iPad for her birthday and added her to my Family Sharing plan. I activated Purchase Sharing and installed Plex on her iPad. I logged onto my account on Plex and then tried to Restore Purchases on the app itself. It gave me a message that said the following:

Uh-oh!

No previous purchase could be found for this Apple ID. You can activate this app with a one-time purchase or a Plex Pass subscription.

One more detail:

  • The login info is username based, not Apple ID.
  • Since the original purchase, the email associated with the organizer Apple ID has changed. I’m not sure if that’s causing the issue.
  • I tried deleting Plex on my iPhone and installed it to see if it’d tell me to purchase the license but it didn’t.
