Thank you!
That is clear. Thank you very much for your support!

Just saw a Plex update pop-in on my QNAS TVS-672N screen this morning, 7/15/21. I installed it and it is running again.
I just got an email saying a new version was available so tried: 1.23.5.4841
Unfortunately it still doesn’t work.

does not state
(NAS) - Add support for QTS 5.0
As stated above:
Being candid?
It is first beta. Trying to develop to anything in Beta is difficult but “first beta” anything is always full of errors.
We are working very closely with QNAP.
I received the 5.0 beta prior to launch and began initial testing.
As we, and others, have observed, there are stability issues.
IMHO, it is not quite sufficiently stable for Production use at this time where data and uptime are critical. If you have a spare QTS system – go for it. It’s close but not quite. It’s pretty good for a first beta.
I agree about it not being ready. I just downgraded to the latest 4.x series and it’s working again.
I was under the impression QTS 5.0 was not beta since it upgraded automatically to 5.0 early July with the following settings:
I can live a few weeks without Plex, I’ll patiently wait for the new release that supports QTS 5.0: Awesome software by the way, keep up the good work!
You might find it easier to run it in container station until there is a native support?
QTS will auto update to Beta releases if the NAS is subscribed to QNAP beta.
Please visit the official QNAP site:
Thanks, but how can I downgrade safely, thanks for answer
To downgrade from QTS 5.0 beta to a specific version of QTS 4.x is like downgrading an app – Install on top of. You will get a warning. You can ignore it this time because QTS 5.0 is beta
Here is a QNAP support page on how to downgrade. It’s what I used.
Im runnng QTS5 and am getting the same unable to install for the latest PMS (PlexMediaServer-1.23.6.4881-e2e58f321-x86_64) And have done so for the last three upgrades of PMS. I can’t work out what the fix is from this thread. Is it to go back to QTS4.5? If so, how do I do that? Thanks for your support. Steve
It is safe to go back to QTS 4.5.
To do so.
Thank you so much. Nice and clear. Im not sure where I am getting the firmware from to do this (must be from QNAP), and how I know I’m downloading the right version to get back to QTS4.5. Steve
Thanks so much. Back to 4.5, and the new PMS working well. My older Samsung TV has Plex installed, and since going to 5.0 that app has not been working. So Im wondering whether it will again now. Best, Steve
QTS 5.0 beta is really really good for a first beta.
I am VERY impressed and looking forward to the next beta.
Any update to this? I saw a new update allowing manual installations, but no mention of QTS 5.0 yet. It’s still not allowing installations for me.
Don’t know why it isn’t working for you.
The package was changed to allow it quite some time ago.
Many of us have tried QTS 5.0 and since backed down. It IS beta.
Not going to chase a Beta OS’s tail.
