Can't see movies in Collections in shared library

Plex Web: Version 4.71.0
Plex Server: 1.25.2.5319

I have a modest Movies library, 32 movies. 15 of those movies are in collections. The Library is configured to ‘Hide items which are in collections.’

I shared this library with a managed user. That user can see the library, but if the library is sorted by Title, the movies that are in Collections are not visible. If the managed user sorts the library by Date, all the movies are displayed. So when sorted by Title, the library only shows 16 movies, but when sorted by anything else, there are 31 (one is hidden due to Label restriction).

If I change the Collections setting to ‘Show collections and their items,’ the managed user now sees 31 movies when sorted by title.

This doesn’t feel like an intended behavior, but if it is, I think it would certainly look like a bug to a typical user.

This is WAD (Working As Designed)

When your user click on a collection, the Items in it should show

And all of above should also go for you as the owner, or?

Hmm, for some reason, the managed user wasn’t seeing the collections at all. That cleared itself up, and this issue is no longer occurring.

Maybe something to do with the age rating of the collection itself and the age profile set for the managed user?

No, never use any of that.
