I recently followed this guide to duplicate my plex libraries and metadata from my old hardware (system a) onto a new piece of hardware (system b). But I want to keep my old hardware functional. Using the plex interface online, I am unable to use both systems and it defaults to the new hardware (system a), unless it’s powered off, then I can use the old hardware (system b), but not simultaneously.
How do I fix this?
I followed the instructions and deleted the machine id keys detailed in the post from the old machine.
Now, the old server says “an unclaimed server has been found” and when I try to claim it, it says “Server settings are unavailable”. Signing out of the plex account doesn’t seem to fix it.
Settings - Web Client - General - ‘Show Advanced’ - “TURN OFF Settings Sync”
