I installed the Plex for Windows app on a new computer. The Plex server is on another computer on my home network. The installation documentation says, “When launching the app for the first time it will have a sign in button on screen.” However, there is no sign in button. The app opens to a blank Home screen with a spinner in the center of the screen.
I installed Plexamp on the same computer, and it was able to sign in and access the server with no problem. I can also access the server through the web player on Microsoft Edge. I can access the server through the desktop Plex app on other computers. But the desktop player on the new computer does nothing.
