Can't use TMDB Agent

Server Version#: Version 1.28.2.6151
Player Version#: Version 4.91.1
Set Movies Library to use TMDB agent, however on fixing a match, it isn’t an option to search by.

I’ve tried refreshing metadata after setting the agent, but Match still tries to look at Plex Movie only.

FYI; this is the item:

From the looks of if you have configured your library to use the Plex Movie agent. IIRC there’s no option to match against a different agent with that setup.

However… the Plex Movie agent should match your files just fine.

However #2V from 1983 doesn’t seem to be a movie but a tv-show – at least that’s what those agents tell me (including your own link). So you better match it as such in a tv-show library.

Okay. Previously, I categorized it as a Movie, because an old iteration of the Plex Movie agent wanted it like that and didn’t parse it if it was in a TV library. I can move it back to TV, if necessary, but I don’t understand how it’s not using TMDB, when that’s checked (greyed out, but checked) and above Plex Movie (Legacy). Based upon the UI, it should prioritize Local first, then TMDB, then Plex Movie, and b/c Fanart.tv isn’t checked, it’ll skip it.

The server-wide agent settings only apply to the legacy agents.
If you setup a library you can select Plex Movie and the 3 legacy movie library agents from your 1st screenshot (Personal Media, Plex Movie (Legacy) and The Movie Database).

While the legacy agents are configured in Settings > [Server Name] > Agents, the current generation of Plex agents are configured per library (from the library context menu: > Manage Library > Edit...Advanced).

Thank you. This is a bit confusing and conflicting UI. Any chance of updating it? I’d like to think I’m pretty tech-savvy, and I know that many Plex users (server admins) aren’t as much.
Or at least adding text in each screen referring to the others, so that when looking at that screen (my #2 screenshot), something will tell users that they can edit per-library agents via the selections you described.

I’ve been asking for some clarification on the agent settings page. I guess even if it won’t be fixed, this issue will go away once the legacy agents are phased out (though I have no idea when that’s going to happen).
