I am running the latest Media Server package for Synology NAS and clients installed in the last 48 hours (Android & Windows). I have multiple Plex Pass accounts set up.

I am finding that “cast to Sonos/smartspeaker” seems to be left out of multiple workflows:
- Guest account – unable to Cast to Sonos/smartspeaker
- External login w/Plex Pass – I have an external userID (account at plex.tv) that has Plex Pass, and has been granted access to the media library. This account is unable to Cast to Sonos/smartspeaker
I am looking to deliver a Roon kind of media experience, and finding that Plex may not be a fit. Can someone confirm:
a) Does Plex support generic smartspeakers, not just Sonos? (I have some Sonos, but no longer buy their gear having moved to other smartspeakers)
b) The Cast limitations I describe above – “by design” or I am have failed to set something up?
