Casting to Chromecast Audio devices seems broken today. Anyone else having this problem? I can cast to all my chromecast devices except the Chromecast Audio. Have tried 2 chromecast audio dongles on my network and get a “could not connect to player” error. Casting to other chromecasts works normal, only having an issue with the chromecast audio devices. Have tried plex app and plexamp android apps. Other apps like Spotify CAN cast to the chromecast audio dongles successfully. Seems like this happened a year ago or so and then plex did something to fix it in the back end.
Update…rebooting the chromecast audio devices fixed both of them. They still have the same firmware version after reboot. It is curious that this issue was contained to chromecast audio and rebooting them resolved the issue on both dongles. Leaving this up in case it helps anyone else.
