Causes PC to reboot

For some time I have had the following problem. Upon opening an uploaded TV show to view the file opens, I select play and the file starts to play. After just a short while the program stops and the “spinning wheel” spins and spins before the PC reboots. I attempted several potential fixes before deleting and reinstalling the appropriate Plex Media Server. This did not solve the problem. I checked with Windows 11 Forum to see what be the problem and one change was advised. After making the change, things remained the same. Note - this auto reboot[restart] occurs only when using Plex.

I have been a long time user of Plex and this forum has always come through. I hope the records continues.

Some context?
e.g. actual server version (not the web app version), what version of Windows, what kind of platform — but also… any details on the circumstances when this happened?

Where do I find actual server version? Windows II Desktop [platform?]. Nothing unusual, same use daily. No other problems with software of hardware. Have used described setup daily for years. Can you remind me how I obtain server logs? Thank you.

Look in your event viewer logs, see what’s crashing. Are you overclocking? How are your cpu temps when you start to play?

Plex Web—General Version 4.133.0

Where do I find the viewer logs?
My clockings and temps are normal

win key, start typing event viewer. Windows logs, system

Do you have an Intel CPU?
And if so, does its model number end in a “K”?

No. AMD Ryzen 5 5600G

Every time I have had a PC that reboots unexpectedly, it has been a problem with the power supply. If you have access to a spare, I suggest giving it a try.

Power supply OK. Thanks
