Certificate issue. Server indicates “Fully Accessible…” but app.plex.tv and remote can not connect

Server Version#: v1.32.8.7639
Player Version#:1.81.0
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

As stated. Server indicates all is well with remote access, local access is good. However, neither app.plex.tv nor any remote clients can connect to the server.

I previously had a custom certificate and removed it a while ago. This is the first time I have tried to connect remotely in a while. I have a feeling it’s a Plex certificate issue. Not sure where to look. This is more difficult to troubleshoot because I am accessing the server remotely using VNC.

When trying to connect remotely I am shown two servers when I only have one that is currently authorized in authorized devices. One of the servers I deleted months ago when I moved to a new server.

Also it should be noted that I can’t connect Infuse player to the Plex server when Security is set to required instead of preferred.

@ChuckPa

Anyone? The other thread regarding resetting certificates is closed.

Should I just delete everything and start from scratch?!

@John_001

Just saw you here. Sorry for the delay.

This is a network configuration issue.
You got two network cables on the same subnet plugged in – PMS is confused.

  1. PMS will favor en0 over en1 but that’s still shaky and not proper.
  2. You want one adapter per subnet. Unplug one :slight_smile:

Cert wise, It looks like you just recreated a new server instance?
I’m sorry i didn’t get here in time.

Thank you. I appreciate your response.

I have a thunderbolt to 10g Ethernet adapter on 192.168.5.1 subnet 255.255.255.0

I have the built in Ethernet adapter on 192.168.10.143 subnet 255.255.255.0

Aren’t those two different subnets? I am genuinely asking - still learning.

I removed the current server, added it again but renamed it slightly.

I also turned relay on and off. Turned off manual port. Changed router settings. Turned off DNS Rebinding protection. Turned on UPnP.

I’m also have 192.168.10.143 selected as preferred in Plex settings.

Apple allows WiFi and Ethernet to remain active at the same time on a device.
