I have moved to another state since I set up Plex server. When I try to change the zip code in the news settings it takes it when I hit save but when I view news it is still the old location. Then I go back to settings and the original zip code is back. It does not seem to overwrite the original zip code.

Same problem, unable to set zip code for news regardless of browser or app used to adjust setting.
All apps & servers updated, in regular update channel, not beta.

Me too. No matter what Zip I enter, the setting keeps going back to Pittsburgh, 15126. 
I never lived in Pittsburgh. Visited once. Nice place. Don’t need to know the Local News from there tho.

Having the same issue. Tried to disable online news and re-enable to see if it would make a difference and still no dice. Hopefully a quick fix after the latest blast on how great the local news feature is!

Same problem also; won’t keep my correct zip code after hitting ‘save changes’; keeps changing to 20149 which is across the country

Local News gone here after updates. Zip code stuck on 20149 and won’t change. Something is very wrong here.

Where are those preferences saved in AppData/Local/Plex Media Server?
Maybe they are corrupted. Can we delete the specific setting for zip code without destroying everything else? Where are they?
Cant change country location either. Receiving local news for Washington DC, located in Australia.
